Continuous die refers to the press in a stamping stroke, the use of ribbon stamping raw materials, in a pair of die with several different stations at the same time to complete multiple stamping processes of cold stamping die, die stamping is completed once, the material belt at a fixed distance to move once, until the product is completed.
Characteristics of continuous mode:
(1) A pair of continuous die can complete blanking, bending, forming, deep drawing and other processes. The press can punch one workpiece or process piece per stroke, so it has higher labor productivity than the composite die.
(2) The use of continuous die stamping can reduce the number of equipment, mold and workshop area, eliminating the transfer and storage of semi-finished products.
(3) Continuous die using coil material or belt material, feeding, discharging and laminating are easy to realize automation. Automatic continuous die stamping process, the body parts do not have to enter the dangerous area, safe operation.
(4) Each process of continuous die is dispersed at each station, and there is no problem of "minimum wall thickness" of composite die, so the die has higher strength and longer life.
(5) The continuous die has complex structure, high manufacturing precision, long cycle, high cost and difficult maintenance.
(6) Because each process is completed at different stations, the positioning cumulative error will affect the accuracy of the workpiece, so the workpiece precision of continuous die production is not high.
Application of continuous mode:
Whether a stamping part adopts multi-station continuous die should consider the following aspects:
(1) Design, manufacture and maintenance of continuous die
The structure of multi-station continuous die is quite complex, and the manufacturing precision is much higher than the common die. After each batch production must go through a maintenance, grinding, and after the test qualified before storage for use. Some small punch, insert worn or damaged must be replaced in time. Bending, deep drawing, forming of multi-station continuous die, grinding punch, die edge, at the same time to correct the relative height of other parts. Bending, deep drawing, forming of the multi-station continuous die, the height of the punch die, die is often not the same, so the grinding must keep the original design requirements of the relative difference. Must have a certain level of technical maintenance workers and the necessary more sophisticated special equipment.
(2) Applicable press
The press used by continuous die shall have sufficient strength, stiffness, power, accuracy, large working surface and reliable braking system. The stroke of the punch should not be too large to ensure that the continuous die guide system does not come off when working. Generally, the work should be carried out at less than 80% of the nominal pressure of the press. A fault detection mechanism should be set up in the multi-station continuous die. After the detection mechanism sends out a signal, the braking system must be able to stop the press immediately, so as not to damage the die or machine tool.
(3) good processed materials
In the process of continuous die punching, intermediate annealing can not be carried out, which is not easy to increase lubrication in the processing, so the mechanical properties of stamping materials must be relatively stable, and each batch of materials into the factory must be tested and inspected according to the regulations; Continuous die stamping has higher requirements on the width and thickness tolerance of the strip material and the flatness of the material edge, because they will directly affect the punching effect and the feed of the strip material.
(4) stamping parts should be suitable for multi-station continuous die punching
1. The output and batch of the parts to be processed should be large enough.
2. The material properties of multi-station continuous die are lower than those of other dies.
3. The cumulative error between the feeding accuracy and each working step should not reduce the accuracy of the parts.
4. The shape of the parts is complex and after punching is not easy to locate the parts, the use of multi-station continuous die is ideal.
