Choice of mold gap in hardware mold design and processing:
The clearance of the die is related to the type and thickness of the material being stamped. Unreasonable gaps can cause the following problems:
(1) If the gap is too large, the burr of the stamping workpiece is relatively large, and the stamping quality is poor. If the clearance is small, although the quality of punching is better, the wear of the mold is serious, which greatly reduces the service life of the mold, and is easy to cause the break of the punch.
(2) Too large or too small clearance is easy to produce adhesion on the punch material, resulting in stamping material. Too small clearance is easy to form a vacuum between the bottom of the punch and the sheet material, resulting in waste rebound.
(3) Reasonable clearance can prolong the life of the mold, good unloading effect, reduce burr and flanging, keep the plate clean, the aperture is the same will not scratch the plate, reduce the number of grinding times, keep the plate flat straight, accurate punching positioning.
Problems that should be paid attention to in the design and processing of metal mold stamping special size holes:
(1) The minimum diameter of φ0.8 -- φ1.6 punching range, please use a special punch.
(2) When punching the thick plate, please use a mold larger than the machining aperture. Note: At this point, if you use the usual size mold, it will cause damage to the punch thread.
(3) For the cutting edge part of the punch, the minimum width to length ratio should not be less than 1:10.
(4) The relationship between the minimum size of the punch cutting edge and the thickness of the plate. It is recommended that the minimum size of the cutting edge of the punch should be 2 times the thickness of the plate.
